Hey everyone in Richmond! Go check out QUE PASA! It's a brand new Cuban-style restaurant that just opened up in Church Hill! It's awesome! It's on the corner of 25th and Jefferson.
Myself, Ben, Mel T, and Patrick all went over there and indulged. It was mind blowingly good!!! I actually ate sweet potatoes and squash and liked it. If you know me, you know that I normally hate both of those vegtables! I couldn't believe it.
They have an awesome Sunday Brunch. We were checking out the menu for it. It looks incredible. Organize a trip and go people!!!
It would probably make a great article for Brick, too!!! The owner/chef is super nice and is very engaging in conversation! The interior is super nice as well. Give it a shot, yo!!!

This might sound weird, but does anyone have a recent pic of me where I'm not yelling, grabbing myself, drunk as hell, grabbing someone else, or making any other sort of seemingly obscene gestures??? In other words, I'm looking for a semi-respectable pic of me. I realized when I was signing up on okcupid.com that I don't rightly have any pictures where I'm not doing something absurd. It's probably because I happen to be completely absurd most of the time, but thought I'd ask. Thanks.

I'm trying to keep everyone's chins up. All of a sudden it's like the SIMS except in really slow motion.
So let's review... not only did I go to the dentist and did great but now, I just found out that my company is finally going to make me a store manager. My training began as of Saturday. Then I inherited a brand new box spring from friend's in need (thanks DW and Ann) and I just bought some new cd's which I've managed to enjoy all three in their entirity (usually there's only a few tracks worth keeping). It might be a matter of time before the stove catches on fire or some burglar busts in the house, but I'm going to choose to believe that life is good and it keeps getting better.
Speaking of life......Congrats to all of my friends who just became parents!!! DW sorry to hear about Vince. Hope he comes home soon. Corey, good luck getting any of those Girl Scout Cookies:)

Hey guys, Thought you all could use some positive vibes. I went to the dentist for a check up and for once in a long long time I'm good!!!! That's right, no cavities!!! That's a pretty good foot to start on for the New Year! That and that I finally got a couple of days off for once. Hope everyone else has had a good start thus far! Good luck and Happy New Years!!! So, I'm in the middle of getting ready for moving. Six years of acrued crap on top all the previous stuff. How does anyone do it???? But, anyways.......so the first plan was to have the whole week off so I could get ready. Didn't happen. Had to work two and half days this weeks since we fired someone. So the next plan was to cover those shifts and have my free time to get stuff done. Then, on a last minute request I get a caricature gig. Well, hard to say no to that when you need the $$$. The Catch... it's during the week I was supposed to be packing everything up. Well, that's not a big deal except it's in BFE Woodlake area. Well..... it all worked out. Then I worked Weds. Managed to get some stuff moved over to the new place Weds. night. Then, knew that I had Thurs. and Friday to really get some crunch time in. HA!!!!!!
So, Thurs. just when I prepare to run a couple of neccesary errands I find out that my car battery is on the crux of death. Though I managed to get it all situated (with some uncanny luck I might add), it cost me about 4 hours of cruch time. Then, five minutes after I wake up today, mentally ready to knock this crap out, I get a phone call from my boss. I have to go to work because his fiance ended up in the emergency room. In fact in about 30 minutes I'll be at work. I managed to get some stuff knocked out, but holy crap!!!
I'm at a loss, people. If this hasn't been the impossible move I don't know what is............ I have a feeling that I'm going to be a train wreck next week from this whole ordeal. I really want a beer, but if I drink a beer right I'll get totally side trekked. Oi!!!!

Well, after thinking I could get away with making serious headway today in the moving, purging, and burning department today life, instead, chose a different path for me. The Way of the Stupid Car. It could have been enough, if I had given in to emotional faculties, to make me fall into a comatose state, sitting in a dark corner for the rest of the day. However, I chose to take a deep breath and sort it out.
I know that I am not the only one who has inadvertantly ended up on The Way of the Stupid Car lately. I would warn my fellow allies that The Way of the Stupid Car is looming just in the shadows, waiting for you to become complacent and distracted. It is the great arch enemy of our time and this dark path can strike at any moment. Beware.
Needless to say, instead of having four solid hours to get my crap packed for this move, I ended up limping my car across town and managing to get a new battery for it. Grmmblgrrrarrrrgmmmrrrpphhhggrrrrrrrrr.....
*sigh*


PS: In retrospect, given the business of late, it could have been a whole lot worse. For that I am thankful.

Yes, Today I get down and dirty and begin the true work of excavating the past six years worth of acrued crap!!! I fear for my roommates when they get home. They won't recognize the place and they may find me screaming and collapsed in a corner because I've lost my sanity. Does anyone know how to shake the pack rat mentality??? It sucks and it's finally catching up with me. See you all on the other side.
